Kapcibase 670 is a fast-drying, solvent-based basecoat mixing system designed for automotive refinishing, offering solid, metallic, and pearl colors with good coverage and durability. It is typically mixed 1:1 with Kapci thinners (600F, 600, or 601) and applied in 2 coats, followed by a clearcoat for a high-gloss finish. It is suitable for partial or complete vehicle repairs.
Key details about Kapci 670 basecoat:
- Application: Apply 2 normal coats + a mist coat (if needed for metallics) with 15–20 micron dry film thickness (DFT).
- Mixing Ratio: Typically 1:1 with Kapci thinners (600F fast, 600 normal, 601 slow).
- Spray Gun Setup: 1.2-1.3mm nozzle at 2 bar (26-29 psi) for HVLP or 3-3.5 bar for conventional.
- Preparation: Apply over properly prepared 2K fillers, sealers, or sanded old finishes (P500 dry/P1000 wet).
- Flash-off Time: 5-10 minutes between coats and 15-20 minutes before clearcoat application.
- Clearcoat Compatibility: Designed for use with Kapci clearcoats, such as 6030 or 888/3001/3100.
